The annual post Christmas tractor run organised by members of Anglesboro Vintage Club raised €2,000 for the Mitchelstown based Special Friends Parents' Support Group - a voluntary association who provide backup, support, assistance and advice to the parents of those with special needs.

The 'friends' were delighted to be informed they would benefit financially from the run and even more delighted with the hefty sum of two grand. The 'friends' were represented in The Galtee View Bar, Anglesboro last Saturday night by: Katie Breedy, Deirdre McGrath and Cora Landers.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Katie Breedy thanked Anglesboro Vintage Club for their hard work and generosity, she told club members and their supporters that the money would be put to good and productive use.
