On Friday last, 22nd March, an amazing array of singing and musical talent performed at Ballindangan Church. The audience were in awe of the standard on show and thoroughly enjoyed a special evening which acted as a fundraiser for Ballindangan National School.

The audience was welcomed by Claire Swanton, on behalf of the parents’ association of Ballindangan NS, who outlined that the choral event was initially scheduled to take place in March 2020 but had to be postponed due to Covid. The idea was then kept on hold until last Friday night when it finally came to fruition.

The Master of Ceremonies for the occasion, Mr Pat Landers, welcomed the singers, musicians and the audience and outlined the running order of the night. First up were the Ballindangan Folk Choir who opened the night with an amazing rendition of ‘All God’s Creatures’. This energy and joy set the tone for the rest of the evening. After a number of group performances, Tony Buckley and Linda Murphy did a wonderful duet and William Fogarty sang an excellent solo rendition of ‘The Voyage’.
