The glamour and glitz was something to behold in the Radisson Hotel, Little Island last Saturday night as the ‘All That Glitters’ fundraiser for Marymount Hospice attracted 455 women from near and far. Cork, Waterford, Dublin, Tipperary, Wexford and Galway, to name but a few, were elegantly represented and in some style.
On entering the hotel, each lovely lady was presented with a single white rose (which was provided by Enchanted Flowers). 4 men greeted the ladies as they entered the hotel, John Crimmins, Denis O'Brien, Maurice O'Brien and Noel O'Riordan.
The night started with a drinks reception Sex and the City Style provided by the Radisson hotel and followed by a tasty 4-course meal. The room dressed by the hotel with assistance from the One Stop Wedding Shop, Ballincollig was magical, with a classical film Audrey Hepburn 'Breakfast at Tiffinys' playing throughout the meal. Host on the night was Claire Cullinane who spoke about Marymount Hospice and its importance within Cork county and local areas to the local people. Claire thanked all the women for such great attendance and support of such a worthy cause. Claire also paid tribute to the many sponsors and people who donated all the raffle prizes, too many to mention individually!!
The Laughing Shamrocks, provided the nights entertainment with the DJ playing until the wee small hours of the morning!!! A great night was had by on and all with everyone going home (or to their hotel room) wanting more!!!
Organisers, Julieanne Walsh and Linda O’Brien, who did a superb job, were loud in their praise for all the help they received from family and friends in ensuring the night was a special one. They expressed thanks also to the sponsors the fab 4 men, the 455 glamorous ladies, the hotel management and staff and all who helped in anyway.
