On this Saturday and Sunday (21st/22nd), Bottom Dog present 'The Bachelor of Kilkish' by Myles Breen at Friars' Gate, Kilmallock.
Commissioned by Limerick City of Culture, Bottom Dog Theatre company’s new production is the long awaited follow up to Myles Breen’s debut play, 'Language Unbecoming A Lady'.
Reuniting with director Liam O’Brien, this new heartwarming production tells the story of a small town barber in the mid-west seaside resort of Kilkish. Over the course of one summer the arrival of a young man leads him to question secrets that ultimately define his life and now threaten to change it forever.
A veteran of stage and screen, Brendan Conroy leads the cast of six as the bachelor. Brendan won an IFTA for best supporting actor for his acclaimed performance in the film 'Kings' with Colm Meaney. He is well supported by Pascal Scott of 'Killinaskully' fame, Deirdre Monaghan (who features in the upcoming series of G'ame of Thrones') and Clare Monnelly who plays Fidelma in the Emmy award winning 'MooneBoy'. The cast is completed by Rathkeale native, Cillian Ó'Gairbhíand and Tipperary newcomer Stephen Tadgh.
Definitely another 'must see' production. Tickets €16/€14
