A number of administrative staff have relocated to the Fermoy Primary Care Centre, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare has confirmed.
News of this comes as the state-of-the-art primary care centre, located at Mill Island, Fermoy is expected to commence operating soon.
“Cork Kerry Community Healthcare can confirm a number of administration staff relocated to the Fermoy Primary Care Centre in mid-December. Services in this facility are set to commence operating once vital service equipment has been delivered. Therefore, it is envisaged service provision is expected to commence from this site in late January 2023,” a Cork Kerry Community Healthcare spokesperson informed The Avondhu.
Planning for the development was initially granted by Cork County Council in 2018 to UHPC International.
Under the proposal, the applicant requested permission to change the use of the buildings on site (older Mill building which is a protected structure and newer office building known as Block A) from previous office use to use as a Primary Healthcare Centre for the Health Service Executive (HSE) and general medical doctors.
