The west Waterford village of Ballyduff Upper celebrated a big day on Saturday evening last, September 30, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the newly developed Storehouse, once known as ‘The Mill’.

The occasion was a momentous one for the community, who first began planning the project to renovate the old grainstore, located in the heart of the village, during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

The imposing building, located on the Kilworth road approach, already houses Sinead Design – a gift/craft and coffee shop on the ground floor run by Sinead Hannon (an outlet for The Avondhu in the village once again!) – along with a gym on the top floor. Plans are in place to have the middle floor occupied in the near future.
