Cork have emerged victorious once more, with the Rebel women bringing not one, but two titles home with them following a weekend of tough battles. The return of the O’Duffy and Jack McGrath cups were welcomed and celebrated by supporters across the county this week, as hundreds of supporters gathered at the Cork Camogie grounds on Castle Road following the double wins for the All-Ireland Cork Senior and Intermediate teams.
The 2024 Senior camogie team that took the title featured several local players, including captain and Sarsfields club member, Molly Lynch, as well as Sorcha MacCartan, Niamh O’Callaghan, and Orlaith Mullins also from Sarsfields, and St Catherine’s Laura Hayes.
On Monday night, Cork camogie stars made their way to Sarsfields as a host of supporters turned out to meet and celebrate with the victors. Tadhg Og Lynch of Sarsfields Camogie Club said that there was a big turnout for the Seniors at the club, while the Intermediates were hosted by Brian Dillon’s.
