News of the untimely death on Monday last of Colum McGuire of Garryarthur, Kilfinane was received with shock and sadness throughout the general Kilfinane/Mitchelstown area.

Colum had become an endearing figure at Hanley’s Victuallers in Mitchelstown over the past while and he will be sorely missed by colleagues and customers there.

Colum’s remains will be in repose at John McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, Kilfinane on this Thursday, April 11th from 5.30pm. Removal at 8pm to Our Lady of the Ransom Church, Glenroe. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
