Hearts will be racing on May 25 in An Bodhran in Mitchelstown, as a number of local men and a few former strippers prepare to strip things back to raise money for The Irish Heart Foundation and a kids soccer club in Cahir.

The Full Monty Night is being organised by Margaret Ronan who also boxed in the St Patrick’s Eve Punch Up and she explained that half of the money will go to The Irish Heart Foundation, while the rest will go towards new jerseys for her son’s soccer club in Cahir Park.

She is hoping to raise at least €1,000 from the night and the brave guys will be starting off with the YMCA dance and working down to ‘You can leave your hat on’, while there will also be a number of girls doing different dances on the night and a raffle with great prizes up for grabs.

Margaret thanked the guys who have volunteered to take part on the night, An Bodhran for hosting the event and also Jennie O’Keeffe from Mitchelstown who has been helping with the organising and she urged any local businesses who would be interested in supporting the good cause to contact An Bodhran.

All support will be greatly appreciated and the event takes place on May 25 at 10pm.
