Excitement erupted from a crowd of up to 400 people in Ballylanders on Monday last, as the winner of The Voice of Ireland, Keith Hanley was being welcomed to the place he calls 'his second home'.

Hailing from Charleville, where thousands of people flocked to welcome Keith home last week, Keith's mother Alice (nee Gallahue) is originally from Ballylanders, so many of his relatives are in the Ballylanders and Anglesboro areas and the hit singer was clearly humbled by the large crowd who had turned out to greet him.

After he arrived in style in his uncle's Model T Forde, Keith took to the stage to thank everyone for their support, before telling everyone how 'unbelievable' the whole experience had been, before belting out 'Begging You', which got into the iTunes top 20.

Keith said that he felt at home in Ballylanders and spent a lot of time afterwards chatting to people, getting pictures taken and signing autographs.
