The winner who also won this contest 5 years ago will god willing go to Kinsale or Ballingarry next commented successful trainer Patrick Ryan.

The 6 year old Geldings Maiden was the subject of a three way divide and in division one the brother and sister combination of Marie and Richard Harding teamed up to land this with 7/4 shot Inis Uí Dhrisceoil who landed the spoils by ½L. Brought through to lead by Harding two out the progeny of Revogue was kept honest right to the death by 6/1 shot Lowanbehold and Richie Kiely with just ½L between the pairing, but to be fair Harding was always holding too many aces for the runner-up.

ONE TO FOLLOW – Barra Rotha (D M Fogarty)

This progeny of Perugino made his debut here in the first split of the 6-year-old Geldings Maiden. Despite running freely early on, he got into contention three out, however, he found nothing but traffic problems from here eventually finishing a credible fourth beaten 6½L and for my money is nap material where ever he goes next.
