Local people came out in support of their own superstar, Shannon Murphy on Sunday evening, as the Voice of Ireland finalist wowed the audience with her singing in Castletownroche Community Centre.

The night was organised by Castletownroche Community Council as a way of showing Shannon how much she meant to the people in her home place and it also gave Shannon the opportunity to thank everyone who had supported her throughout the RTE show, voting for her week on week.

Those in the hall were enchanted by Shannon's voice, as the young children sat on the ground and watched her perform with admiration. She then spoke to everyone afterwards and signed autographs for her many fans.

Shannon's mum, Siobhan also joined her on stage for a number and there were refreshments served afterwards.
