Fermoy Centre host Cloyne Diocesan Pioneer Mass
Malawi Orphan Appeal Fund will host its Mini Garden Fete on this Sunday, 30 June at Blackley’s, Gurrane, Fermoy. As always, there will be delicious refreshments and excellent stalls.
The gift stall is full of beautiful new items – treat yourself or buy for gifts at a fraction of their shop price! The plant stall and cake stall will hopefully have something for everyone. And if you’re not in shopping mood, just enjoy your tea and watch the children play, or stroll around the old-fashioned garden and enjoy its countryside peace.
Weather permitting, we will have the Fermoy Concert Band to play a few airs and add to the pleasure of the afternoon.
The Fete is open from 2pm to 5pm; entry for adults is €5 (including refreshments) and there are low family rates for children. We would be very grateful for any donations or plants or home baking. Direction signs from Grange School and Ballyarthur Cross or tel: 025-31036.
This year we have 69 children paid for in secondary school in Malawi and are funding vocational courses in the Avondhu Hall and School. Food growing, pig rearing, the maize mill and other activities continue as always. We have just sent funds to buy a large number of blankets as it is winter now in Malawi and very cold and wet on the plateau. Most of the children have one, thin outfit of clothes and little in the way of bedding for the cold nights.
As Sunday’s garden fete is our main fundraiser, we once again appeal for your gtenerous support!
