There was a day trip with a difference for Kilmallock Active Retirement this week, as they spent Tuesday afternoon soaking up the rays while admiring the beautiful garden of Donal Deady.

Located in Skenakilla Cross on the main road between Mitchelstown and Mallow, Donal decided to invite the group up to enjoy the fine weather in his immaculate garden.

While enjoying scones and refreshments, the members of the retirement group were blown away by the beauty and detail of Donal's garden.

Donal spends about three days a week working on his garden and likes to have a mixture of colourful flowers and coniferous shrubs and trees to last the whole year round. He regularly visits Glenanaar Garden Centre in Shanballymore to stock up on new plants and features for his garden.
