Young Rathcormac man Jonathan Brackett organised and held a coffee morning in Barry’s Bar, Rathcormac on Sunday last in aid of the children’s unit at Cork University Hospital.
Thanks to strong support on the day, the event realised over €300 which will go towards the refurbishment of the unit. Jonathan extends sincere thanks to Spar Rathcormac, parish priest Fr Neilus O’Donnell, Fitzy’s Fast Food and Dooley’s Post Office for allowing him to advertise in their premises.
He also expressed thanks to Ciara Brackett for baking the lovely cakes that went down a treat on the day; to Katheen Gowen for the use of equipment and to Colm and Orla Barry for allowing him to use their premises to host the event.
CUH has been chosen as the official charity partner of Cork Rebel Week. The special ‘Republic of Cork’ visas being issued as part of the week’s events are available from Spar in Rathcormac or Dooley’s Post Office in the village. More information is available on www.corkrebelweek.com or you can call Jonathan on 087-2311955. CUH charity is also on Facebook and people are asked to show their support by liking their page Cork University Hospital charity.
