Avondhu Blackwater Partnership (ABP) is developing a new tourism app. The app will feature a comprehensive range of information about dining, culture, heritage, amenities, walking trails and local clubs and businesses throughout the Avondhu Blackwater area, encompassing all urban and rural communities.

ABP is currently gathering information for the project and letters requesting local information will be sent to community leaders in the coming days.

The app has been in development since July, being funded by the LEADER Rural Development Programme. It’s planned to launch it on October 31st. It will initially be available only to Android smartphone users and will be downloadable free on Google Play Store from October 31st. An iPhone version of the app is in the pipeline and will be available at a later date. Anyone who’d like further information on the initiative can call David Foley at ABP on 025 33411 or e-mail him at dave@avondhublackwater.com
