Dairygold wins Best Fresh Cheese at British Cheese Awards

Dairygold Food Ingredient’s ‘American Style’ soft cheese has won the ‘best fresh cheese award’ at the British Cheese Awards held in Oxfordshire last weekend.

Dairygold Food Ingredient’s ‘American Style’ soft cheese has won the ‘best fresh cheese award’ at the British Cheese Awards held in Oxfordshire last weekend. The Leeds based Dairygold Food Ingredients UK operation took home three awards in total.

Entries to the awards this year included over 221 raw milk cheeses, 117 organic, 83 blue and nearly 200 unique goat and ewe’s milk cheeses from tiny buttons to huge 20kg wheels.

Dairygold’s ‘American Style' soft cheese was also awarded a gold medal in the ‘other cooking cheeses’ class and Dairygold’s Lactose Free Soft Cheese took bronze in the same class.

Commenting on the success Dairygold’s CEO, Jim Woulfe said Dairygold has a long-standing heritage and tradition in the production of some of the world’s finest cheeses and looks forward to continuing that tradition into the future.
