A reminder to families that applications for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance close next week, the closing date being Monday next, September 30th.

The allowance, which is means tested, helps families with the cost of school uniforms and footwear for children and young people aged between 4 and 22.

For those who received the allowance in 2012, if your circumstances haven’t changed, then you will be automatically entitled to the allowance this year. New applications however, have to be submitted by next Monday.
