Beatle Mal in Kilworth on Thursday Oct 3.

Like a good piece of theatre and a Beatles’ fan to boot? Then pencil in next Thursday’s date (3rd Oct) for a a very special show at The Village Arts Centre.

‘Beatle Mal’ is the story of Mal Evans, the Beatles roadie and also arguably their closest friend. He was so much more than just the big guy who lugged the gear from venue to venue. He travelled the world on tour with the Fab 4, took part in their recording sessions, he was there when they met Bob Dylan and Elvis and when their lives were threatened in the Philippines and when they studied with Maharishi in India. He lived with Paul McCartney as his housekeeper in 1967 and on the crazy ride that was Beatlemania, it is doubtful they would have survived without him!
