The Frankie Valli Story - a one-man 'Jersey Boys' style show, comes to Kilworth's Village Arts Centre on Thursday, Nov 21 and when we remind you of some of the many hits of Frankie and The Four Seasons, you will want to book your tickets immediately!
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons churned out hit after hit - songs like 'Rag Doll', 'Working My Way Back To You', 'The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore', 'Bye Bye Baby', 'Silence Is Golden' and 'Can’t Take My Eyes Off You'. There's also the massive hit 'My Eyes Adored You' along with 'Big Girls Don’t Cry', 'Walk Like A Man', 'Dawn', 'December 63 (Oh What A Night)' plus many, many more.
This show tells the story of the struggle Frankie Valli faced before his sudden rise to fame in 1962 with The Four Seasons, the domination of the 60's charts with three consecutive No1 singles, the fling with the Northern soul and Motown scene, right through to the 70's worldwide million selling album "Who Loves You".
Brilliantly sewn together chronologically by an American narrator and aided very cleverly by video projection, the show spans three decades of music.
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons were deemed to have been 'the most popular rock band before the Beatles' and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. They are one of the best-selling musical groups of all time, having sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide.
The show also features a fantastic warm-up act - the songs of Michael Buble.
Tickets €20 (see Avondhu Vouchers offer) from The Avondhu office, Fermoy (025-32227); Hyland's Bookshop, Mitchelstown (025-24528); Cotter's Bar, Kilworth (025-27109) or call 087-6492514.
