An elderly man has died and another person has been airlifted to hospital following an incident in the car park of a shopping centre in Fermoy town earlier this morning (Friday 18th).
Emergency services – Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service – attended the scene, following reports that two elderly people were struck by a car at the car park in SuperValu.
It is understood the driver of the vehicle involved, was also attended to by emergency services. The injured women has been airlifted to hospital.
Emergency services remain at the scene as investigations into the incident continue.
