The all-new Mazda CX-80 was created to challenge the established premium brands on the European market. Following the launch of the CX-60, the all-new Mazda CX-80 is the second of two new models for Europe from the company’s Large Product Group. Featuring three-row seating, the most spacious car in Mazda’s European line-up is now arriving at authorised Mazda dealers in Europe and is available for a test-drive.
The vehicle is available in five model grades: Exclusive-line, Takumi, Homura, Takumi Plus, and Homura Plus. The Takumi grade offers a luxurious interior with white Nappa leather upholstery, maple wood trim, and distinctive Japanese ‘hanging stitching.’ Meanwhile, the Homura grade features a sleek black interior with Nappa leather upholstery and a hair-line Gun Metal finish trim. The vehicle is available in two striking new signature body colors: Artisan Red and Melting Copper.
The interior offers versatile packaging and utility features, including three second-row configurations: a bench seat for seven passengers, captain’s seats with a walk-through for six passengers, and captain’s seats with a center console for six passengers. Compared to the CX-60, it boasts increased shoulder room, headroom, hip point spacing, and front-to-second-row couple distance.
The Mazda CX-80 offers two advanced powertrains: the e-Skyactiv PHEV and the e-Skyactiv D. The e-Skyactiv PHEV combines a Skyactiv-G 2.5 four-cylinder direct injection petrol engine with a 129 kW electric motor and a 355V, 17.8 kWh high-capacity lithium-ion battery. It boasts an impressive WLTP average fuel consumption of 1.6 l/100km and CO2 emissions of just 35-36 g/km, with an electric-only driving range of 60-61 km.
The e-Skyactiv D features a straight-six, 3.3-litre engine with 254 PS, enhanced by Mazda’s 48V Mild Hybrid System (M Hybrid Boost). It offers a performance of 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 219 km/h. The WLTP average fuel consumption is 5.7-5.8 l/100km, with CO2 emissions ranging from 148-151 g/km.
The Mazda CX-80 features an AWD platform with a rear-biased, permanent all-wheel drive system offering the stability and traction of AWD along with the neutral cornering characteristics of rear-wheel drive. It is equipped with double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension systems, ensuring ride comfort, stable vehicle posture, and smooth body control during cornering. The vehicle also boasts an excellent towing capacity of 2,500 kg.
The all-new Mazda CX-80 has arrived at Mazda authorised dealerships and is now ready for customer test drives. Detailed pricing information is available on the official Mazda website.
