Television viewers will get an opportunity to hear the choir from the Loreto in Fermoy in full voice on RTE television this Sunday evening.

The choir is taking part again this year in the All Island School Choir competition and qualified for the regional final for a second time.

The 40-strong choir comprises students from 2nd to 6th year. Tim Fouhy is their conductor with Deirdre Foley accompanying. They’ll be seen competing against four other Munster finalists in the Cork School of Music.

It’s the fifth year of the competition for second-level schools, organised by Co-operation Ireland in association with RTE.
