A bid to get meetings of Fermoy Town Council’s traffic management sub-committee changed to evening time has failed. Cllr Tadhg O’Donovan had a motion before their recent meeting calling on the council to agree a new time. They are currently held in late afternoon, once a month.

Cllr Noel Barnes said that while he isn’t able to attend the meetings, he is happy to get the minutes of them.

Town clerk, Pauline Moriarty said it was hard for members to commit to another time. The Gardai, the town engineer and herself had other engagements and family commitments in the evening times. They’d prefer to leave it at the present time. It was agreed to do that.
