Keith Fitzgerald, who participated in the Dublin City marathon to raise funds for St Patrick’s Community Hospital, Fermoy, presenting the proceeds to hospital matron, Annette Clancy. Also present are members of Keith’s family along with representatives from the hospital’s fundraising committee.

Well done to Keith Fitzgerald who raised a substantial amount of money through his participation in the Dublin City Marathon.

Big hearted Keith visited St Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy recently to hand over proceeds to matron, Annette Clancy. He was inspired to do a good deed for the hospital having seen at first hand the way staff cared for his late grandfather Ned Fitzgerald.

At the presentation, Keith said he was delighted to do his bit for such a worthy cause. Cllr Tadhg O'Donovan who is chairman of the hospital's fundraising association said Keith's gesture should act as an inspiration to others as he commended the young man on what was a great athletic achievement.
