GAA Cúl Camps continued across the region this week with local children taking to the pitches amid glorious sunshine to get their game fine-tuned.
Ballyhooly Cúl Camp reported tha some 180 children from the village and surrounding area had signed up to their Cúl Camp, with 16 coaches, ten camp assistants and several volunteers on hand to help out when The Avondhu visited.
In Killavullen, high levels of local attendence were also noted, with many volunteering their time to ensure the camp went ahead.
“Killavullen is known for having great back up. If there’s help needed, people roll up their sleeves, there’s people coming down on their lunch break from work to supervise lunches here. People are great to help,” Gillian Forde said.
