One thing was agreed unanimously after the inaugural ‘Fermoy – A Cleaner Town’ initiative last year – it was an outstanding success. It’s no surprise then that the project is being run again this year.

Sponsored by the McCarthy Insurance Group, the competition aims to involve all sectors of the local community; residents’ associations, local schools and businesses, getting people to do their bit to keep the town and its environs clean and tidy and, by doing so, instilling pride in the area.

This year’s competition is being launched in The Grand Hotel next Monday night, March 3rd at 7pm. All interested in getting involved are invited to attend.

The launch will be followed by a fundraising quiz at 8.30pm. All monies raised will be used to fund Tidy Towns window boxes. Entry is €30 for a team of five and plenty of great prizes are planned.
