“We provide a fantastic service in patrolling high-risk areas”
Professional and personal security is an important business, and one of Ireland’s established security firms is expanding into The Avondhu area to help keep businesses, industrial, and construction sites safe from theft and damage.
LFK9 Security Ireland provide security patrols for building sites, construction sites, and a keyholding and alarm response service. They are also one of a small number of security companies in Ireland that provide a trained security dog and handler service, giving a unique aspect to the business.
The face behind the company is Liam Fraher, one of Ireland’s few certified dog handlers. Liam is certified First Aid Canine Level 2, GP Level 2, and also EDD Explosive Detection Dog Handler Level 4. Originally from Pallasgreen in Limerick, Liam was inspired to start the business after a serious crime was committed on his neighbours.
His interest in security and safety is an active one, and he takes a proactive approach to protection: “I would love to see people feel secure in their homes.”
The company provides top-quality static security patrols for industrial areas and construction sites, and a valuable keyholding and alarm response service. All staff wear body cameras, a unique aspect to the business. Their Mobile Patrol is one of their cost-effective offerings, and means a random or scheduled site visit by trained security personnel, both day and night, and would suit any business or person who doesn’t require a constant security presence.
As well as the more ‘standard’ security services, LFK9 Security can supply security dogs and handler as part of the service. The dogs are a valuable asset in aiding a handler in finding a trespasser. Dogs are an excellent visual deterrent, and their superior sense of smell and hearing is a huge asset in detecting an intruder.
As a certified NASDU dog handler, Liam does event security for festivals, concerts, and private functions. For larger events, the team of handler and dog undertake drug and explosive detection. Currently LFK9 are already contracted to one of Ireland’s largest transport firms to provide enhanced security for passengers, and Liam is soon to have a second trained dog handler on the books.
Liam is keen to add to his security team by employing locally, and is eager to speak to PSA licence holders and other interested parties about expanding his team of security experts.
“We provide a fantastic service in patrolling high-risk areas, and are really flexible in what we offer the customer too. We’re already working with some businesses in Mallow and Mitchelstown, and I’m looking forward to working with even more businesses in the community in the coming year.”
