Mitchelstown is to undergo a major change in its streetscape as engineers have drawn up a new way of operating in the town to combat Covid-19.
The Avondhu can reveal the plans that will see one way pedestrian street systems on narrow routes and parking measures implemented in the James Street area.
It is all designed to make Mitchelstown a safe place and ensure that social distancing is maintained.
The plan will involve the smaller streets such as James Street, Robert Street, King Street and other locations, being placed on a one-way pedestrian system.
