The HOPE Foundation is an international charity that provide vital support to those in need.
Much of HOPE’s focus in on India with several projects in place to assist the under privileged there.
HOPE has strong links with secondary schools in Ireland and every year pupils get an opportunity to see at first hand the plight of those struggling to survive in cities like Kolkata.
Plans are ongoing for a March 2020 trip. Three young men from Killavullen are part of this assignment and they are currently fundraising for the project.
On Sunday last they organised a coffee morning in Killavullen Hall. The event was a great success with family, friends, neighbours and supporters turning out in strength to support this worthy cause.
The three locals who are assisting HOPE are Sean Murphy, Michael Cagney and Sean Palmer. Michael attends the Patrician Academy in Mallow while the two Seans go to Davis College.
They are grateful to everyone who assisted last Sunday and take this opportunity to all those who gave so generously.
