The sudden closure of Fermoy’s historic hotel ‘The Grand’ has been the source of much speculation in the town over the past week and management has yet to make a statement in relation to the company.
A meeting of the creditors of Bellerive Manor Limited, trading as the Grand Hotel, will be held on Friday, November 29.
The hotel closed its doors on Sunday, November 10 and since then, it is believed that the contents of the hotel have been cleared and locks on the premises changed.
When contacted by The Avondhu, the owner of the building would only comment thus: “The operating company is in liquidation and while that process is ongoing, I don’t have a function”.
