There was a great response to the recent dance in The Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown which was a fundraiser for St Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy.

It helps when you have a top of the range performer to draw in patrons and Michael English is hugely popular on the adult dancing circuit. The hotel ballroom started to fill up at 8pm, an hour before start time and Michael was greeted by a full house when he took to the stage.

All the serious dancers were out and Michael supplied plenty of raw material to keep them going. There was a great buzz all through and at night's end, Michael made time for the fans which is part of his appeal.

The event was a great financial success and people also dug deep for the raffle - a guaranteed money spinner. Pat Tangney and his staff were ultra professional as usual and the bar did a great trade.

GREAT SUPPORT

Those behind the venture, St. Patrick's Community Hospital Fundraising Association, said they were thrilled with how things went and they thanked everyone for their generosity.

This completely voluntary group are exceptionally hardworking and barely a month goes by without some project or other coming to fruition. The association are aided in a big way by the huge reservoir of goodwill that exists towards Fermoy Hospital - a facility that continues to offer exceptional care to every patient.
