Last time The Petersens played The Village Arts Centre was their first visit to the area and they went down a treat.
The four sisters in the band – Ellen, Julianne, Katie and Karen were simply brilliant, their vocal harmonies a delight to hear.
The band come all the way from Branson, Missouri where Bluegrass, Gospel and Country music is a daily part of life. The Petersens are making a very welcome return to the Kilworth venue on Monday, August 26.
Each May, for the past number of years, The Petersens have been part of a month long Bluegrass Festival at Silver Dollar City on the outskirts of Branson
The band features Ellen Petersen (banjo/vocals), Julianne Petersen (mandolin/vocals), Katie Petersen (fiddle/vocals), Matt Petersen (guitar/vocals), Karen Petersen (bass/vocals) and Emmett Franz (dobro/vocals).
