THE HILARIOUS 'HUNT FOR RED WILLIE'

For two weekends from Thursday 27th to 30th November and Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th December, Friars’ Gate bring their production of the hilarious 'The Hunt for Red Willie' by Ken Bourke to the stage.

Directed by Joan Sheehy the production features a very talented and well-known local cast. On a remote stretch of bog in Donegal in 1829 a local landlord meets his end after an encounter with the notorious Red Willie. What follows is a hilarious romp full of adventure, romance and innuendo, fast paced and witty with a delectable plot full of twists and turns and playful echoes of some of the classic plays of Irish theatre.
