The wild flowers which have been planted by Rathcormac Game and Wildlife Club in conjunction with the Village Enhancement Group are bringing colour and new life to the village.
These wild flowers have been planted at Dr Barry’s Bridge, from there to the footbridge and just recently from Dr Barry’s Bridge to The Forge on the right.
John Howard of Rathcormac Game and Wildlife Club is passionate about biodiversity and creating habitats for wildlife to survive.
“We have been working with the Village Enhanment Group for the past three years to create these wild flower areas. They help the bees and other wildlife to survive and bring back the natural habitat that was always there in the past.”
The project is ongoing and will continue into the future in the village.
John is also very involved in the creation of natural habitats in Corrin Nature Reserve which is currently undergoing a major development project and is due to be open to the public this coming autumn.
