Herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €10,000 was seized in Fermoy on Tuesday.
Following a joint intelligence-led operation involving Revenue officers, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and Gardaí from the Drugs Unit in Dungarvan, a package containing 500g grammes of herbal cannabis was seized at a residential address.
A quantity of tablets, drugs paraphernalia, and a sum of cash were also discovered and a 33-year-old male was arrested.
Following his detention at Dungarvan Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, the man was released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
