The inaugural Pat Fenton Memorial Golf Classic was held in Fermoy Golf Club last Friday. It attracted a huge entry with participants thoroughly enjoying their time on this award winning course.

Held to commemorate a keen golfer, the classic was organised by Pat’s fellow members of The Abbey Golf Society. Very well supported, the classic had a main sponsor in McMahon’s, Fermoy – where Pat worked up to his untimely passing.

Speaking at last Friday night’s prize-giving, secretary of The Abbey Golf Society, Paul Neligan, thanked all those who provided sponsorship, the competing teams, staff at Fermoy Golf Club and everyone who helped out or assisted in any way.
