Willie Cahill lost out to Tom McDonagh (Cork) in the Munster 40/20 masters (B) singles in Galbally last Friday night.
Willie was out of luck losing out 21-15, 21-17 to his Fermoy opponent in the provincial final before a good crowd at an excellent Galbally venue.
Willie started slowly with McDonagh running into a 5-2 lead. Willie closed the gap to 6 all and then hit a good patch to lead 10-7 but at this stage McDonagh took control with Willie missing some easy shots to see McDonagh lead 15-11 and he then closed out the 1st game 21-15.
The 2nd game saw Willie going all out leading 5-2 and 9-5 with some good serves to the left-side and some good pass-shots …
