The Local Enterprise Office in Limerick last week launched a new ‘Women in Business Cluster Network’, as a way to bring businesswomen from across Limerick city and county together.

The first event, featuring chartered financial analyst Susan Hayes Culleton, took place on Wednesday in the Woodlands Hotel in Adare.

The idea behind the network is to ensure further learning, entertainment and business referrals at every event with a key speaker at each meeting.

“Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the present moment and make it perfect,” Susan said, as she started out with her motivational presentation.

During her talk, she spoke about ways to increase sales, get a rise in referrals and benefit the business.

Her talk was followed by the cluster networking with ten clusters taking place, allowing businesswomen from across various business sectors to share knowledge and business experience.

There were clusters for things like the health and wellbeing sector, the technology sector, hospitality, food, international trading, early start and craft and design.

The network is also open, so non-members are welcome and will be facilitated at a guest table.

In the long term, the vision is that the network will help to build relationships across the business world between like-minded women.

It is open to existing members of the LEO Limerick Women in Business Network, as well as new businesses.
