70 new tech jobs for Cork

Monday saw the announcement that Park Place Technologies will open its new EMEA Operations Centre in City Quarter, Lapp’s Quay, Cork, resulting in the creation of 70 new tech jobs over the next two years.

Park Place, the world’s largest post-warranty data center maintenance organization, supports more than 15,000 organisations in over 115 countries and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, USA,

The new positions include Customer Service experts; Support Analysts with multi-lingual skills, and an aptitude for data center; and Advanced Engineers with in-depth knowledge of all major OEM data center technology.

Executive Director of IDA Ireland Mary Buckley said, “This announcement by Park Place Technologies that it is establishing an EMEA Operations Centre in Cork  to support future growth across the region is very welcome news. It adds to IDA Ireland’s significant cluster of technology companies in Cork, reinforcing the area’s reputation as an ideal location for such business.”

The new investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
