It has emerged that developer Rory O’Brien has to deal with a snag list of 28 items for the Lui na Greine Estate before the council will consider taking it in charge.
The list was made up following an inspection by the council, on foot of reports of water leaks. The motion was brought to the table by Cllr Kevin O’Keeffe at a recent meeting of Fermoy Electoral Area Committee. He said he welcomes the progress as it is a nice estate and the residents need reassurance that their home place will be looked after.
The snag lists includes requirements to complete the main entrance and implement traffic calming measures; a number of unfinished footpaths and kerbs; leaks and a water audit to determine the extent of leaks in the water supply system.
