‘Sive’ at Friars’ Gate Theatre

On Friday 27th and Saturday, 28th March, St Patrick’s Players, Cloverfield return to Kilmallock with their production of ‘Sive’ by John B. Keane.

On Friday 27th and Saturday, 28th March, St Patrick’s Players, Cloverfield return to Kilmallock with their production of 'Sive' by John B. Keane. 

Seán Dóta, an elderly farmer, engages the local match-maker Thomasheen Seán Rua to secure Sive’s hand in marriage. Will Sive’s feelings and wishes be considered in this arrangement or are there more important things to be considered by her Aunt and Uncle? Patrick’s players return this year with another great play by the renowned John B Keane. Tickets €12/€10.

Dónal Clancy in concert

On Saturday, 11th April, we host Dónal Clancy in concert. Dónal grew up in a household and community steeped in music and began touring professionally with his father Liam Clancy, and cousin, Robbie O'Connell in 1996. He later moved to New York and worked mainly as a guitarist, touring the world with such acts as Solas, Eileen Ivers, The Chieftains and Danú, as well as releasing a critically acclaimed solo guitar album. Donal returned to Ireland permanently in 2009 and apart from his work with the group Danú, he continues in the Clancy tradition with his solo performances.  Tickets €15.
