Supermac's, Mitchelstown, franchisees, Tim and Meg Luddy put in a huge amount of work prior to last Saturday's re -launch which sees them link up with popular pizza maker, Papa John's.

It all proved very worthwhile as the day turned out to be a resounding success. The fine weather helped, as did the complimentary food, face painting and freebies for the kids. The presence of so many enthusiastic children and their interaction with Supermac's mascots made for a party atmosphere as local DJ Pat Ronan pumped out the tunes.

Some of the invited clubs in attendance included Mitchelstown Scout Group and Mitchelstown Girl Guides.

Another man who was very impressed by what he witnessed was Supermac's supremo, Pat McDonagh, Pat said he had a great working relationship with Tim and Meg and he expressed confidence that Supermac's association with the Papa John's would benefit everyone.

Pat, joined, Meg and Tim along with special guest, Cork senior hurling goalkeeper, Anthony Nash for the tape cutting ceremony. For his part, Anthony wished the new Supermac's/Papa John's outlet every good wish for the future. Another notable figure in attendance was Papa John's operation's manager, Crispin McLaughlin. The event was also good news for those working to create a sensory garden in the grounds of COPE, Mitchelstown as they benefited financially from the re-launch.

As soon as some people drifted away they were replaced by new arrivals and it was pretty hectic all afternoon. Being busy is nothing new to staff at Supermac's/Papa John's, Mitchelstown and judging by the public's response last Saturday there are plenty busy days and nights ahead for Tim, Meg and their dedicated team.
