27th of December is firmly established as ‘tractor day’ in Anglesboro and as was the case 12 months ago, tractors once again turned out in force for this important fundraiser.

Organisers were blessed with a splendid day and the village was a hive of activity from early morning as vehicles (tractors and classic cars) arrived from throughout south Limerick and north Cork. Drivers were registered in an efficient manner before being issued with their route map.

After a quick ‘cuppa’ and the traditional pre-run blessing, it was time for a tour of the Galty region. Tractors comprised the bulk of entries and ranged from old grey 20s to the very latest in tractor technology – a number of very well maintained vintage cars also took part.

The run was a great success with stewards and marshals on hand to keep everyone on the straight and narrow.
