Fermoy Swimming Club held their annual awards night last Thursday night in Fermoy Community Youth Centre, with lots of awards handed out on the night as well as the announcement their Swimmer of the Year.

Declan Howard
Production Manager Declan joined The Avondhu in 1988 and came straight in to the company as a designer and compositer, in the days before on-screen page layout. After seeing many technological changes, and completing a City & Guilds design course, he took on the role of Production Manager and IT Manager, and has remained in this position to this day and loves the challenge of keeping the newspaper looking fresh and modern. In his spare time, Declan loves to get out and about taking landscape photographs.
