Do you need to get ‘unstuck’? Would you like to grow your confidence and resilience? Would you like to end your self-sabotaging thinking? Perhaps you want to unlock your potential and achieve what you want in your personal life and career? Or perhaps you just want to live the happier, more content life you deserve? Would you like to develop stronger communication skills? If you’ve answered yes to any or all of these questions, please read on.

The content of this course is delivered under the following four headings:

• Self-evaluation

• Mindfulness

• Interpersonal Communication Skills

• Time/Self-management

What are the benefits of taking this Personal Development Course?

Self-evaluation: Through authentic self-evaluation, you will discover your core values and motivators, vital to creating real personal change. On this course, you will also identify and overcome your limiting beliefs, enabling you to proceed with confidence towards achieving what you want most from both your personal and professional life. Early on, you will set your sights on realistic, attainable personal outcomes which will not conflict with your core beliefs and principles.

Introduction to Mindfulness: This course contains an introduction to the principals of Mindful Living by going directly into practicing same. Mindfulness offers key personal skills which help you to manage your stress and strengthen your personal resilience. You will learn practical, readily applicable breathing & relaxation techniques, which equip you with the resources needed to re-group and ground yourself in challenging situations. This introduction to mindfulness, together with the self-evaluation element of the course, increases your self-awareness and allows you to live a happier, more content life – on your terms.

Interpersonal Communication Skills: Leading research shows that a great deal of our personal stress comes about through conflict arising from poor inter-personal communication. Course facilitator Kevin McCormack, is the creator of ‘The ‘STRESS’ Model of Mindful Communication’, a model designed specifically to reduce such conflict related stress. The STRESS Model is at the core of the interpersonal communication skills element of this course, and teaches effective listening skills, as well as how to use both verbal and non-verbal communication effectively. Whether you need to improve how you communicate within your family dynamic or with your work colleagues, this course is for you.

Time & Self-Management: Learning to manage your time and manage your personal state quite often go hand in hand. Even as separate entities, learning to manage either of these aspects of your life, makes a huge difference to your overall personal effectiveness, happiness and well-being. On this course, you will learn how to effectively prioritise your daily tasks and efficiently manage your time. You will also learn useful tips to help you avoid over committing as well as how to be assertive in a positive manner, and how to say ‘NO’ when you feel you really need to.
