A chance meeting with genealogist Niall O'Mahony, sparked interest in the Jordan family tree and Niall, who runs, familytreefermoy, took up the challenge to do some tracing.
While Mick knew a lot about his father John (Johnny) who was born in 1912 and who married Nellie Connolly in 1942, he hadn't much information on his grandfather, William Jordan – born in 1872 and who married Katie Mahoney in 1911.
On Friday last, Niall O'Mahony, presented Mick with a framed scroll detailing the above information. Mick said there was great credit due to Niall.
