Established 100 years ago, Castlelyons Co-Op evolved from modest beginnings to become a powerful player in the milk and dairy market.
A dedicated reunion committee comprising Dick Tobin, Seamus Sexton, Paddy O'Leary, Catherine O'Brien, Betty Feeney and Sheila Smith was set with a view to contacting as many former employees as possible.
This group was successful in their work and on Saturday last, the extensive family that makes up former Castlelyons Co-Op workers assembled in Castlelyons Community Centre for a day of celebration.
