North Cork side through to All Ireland Finals

Saturday, August 6th was a red-letter day for Doneraile Golf Club as they lifted the Irish Mixed Foursomes Munster title for the first time in their history at a rain soaked Gold Coast Golf Club in Dungarvan.

A thrilling 3-2 victory in the final against Tramore means they have also qualified for the All-Ireland series, where they will play Greystone Golf Club in Belfast next month.

Beginning early on Saturday morning, Doneraile faced off against Dromoland Castle while Tramore took on Mahon in the other semi-final. Winning 4-1 in their match, Doneraile’s Tim O’Mahony & Anne Heffernan, Peter Duane & Anna Cotter and Phelim Cotter & Eleanor Coughlan all won their games, while both Eddie Roche & Eileen Coleman and Sean Barrett & Karena Hunter halved their games.
