On Friday last, the students at Mitchelstown CBS raised a new, specially designed flag to celebrate the unique spirit of the school and to mark their continued focus on positive mental health for students.

May 5th is marked as Edmund Rice Day across the ERST network of secondary and primary schools and is the feast day of Blessed Edmund Rice.

The new Edmund Rice flag was raised across the country by the 95 schools, all members of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust.

The Mitchelstown CBS flag was raised by two members of the Student Council – chairman Gerard Buckley and First Year representative, Oisin Morrissey.
